Job Site in Mexico

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and Fermaca reported on October 1, 2020 that the Villa de Reyes - Aguascalientes - Guadalajara (VAG) gas pipeline, owned by the Mexican company Fermaca, had started operations.

The VAG pipeline is 388 km in length and 36” in diameter and will supply natural gas to the areas of San Luis Potosi, Aguascalientes and Guadalajara, as well as other regions of the country such as Colima, Michoacan and central Mexico via its links.

With the introduction of this system, the interconnection of the gas pipeline network known as "Wahalajara", which carries the world's cheapest natural gas from the Waha region of Texas, United States to Mexico and has a combined transport capacity of more than 5,331 million cubic feet of natural gas per, will be completed Day and a length of 2,150 km.

Since 2012, the SCHUCK GROUP has supplied to all pipeline sections and the associated compressor stations and GRMS with ball valves and actuators, as well as DRV and SHD in all sizes from 3" to 48" supplying on different contracts and in part through subcontractors (GSP, EN -FAB USA, SICIM, SENER, IGASAMEX).

From the border with the USA, all mainline valves (MLV) in the entire “Wahalajara System” have been obtained exclusively from SCHUCK.

In the next few years, the new actuators should also meet the requirements of the Mexican environmental authority ASEA in terms of emission limits as part of international agreements to reduce the overall carbon footprint. Here, the actuator department at SCHUCK works closely with the subsidiary in Mexico to accompany our customers into the new “green” age with modern technical solutions.

The first EH drives were delivered to FERMACA at the beginning of 2020 for the connections in the state of Chihuahua and installed put into operation by our service manager in Mexico.
